+ some tunes to get you grooving this evening.

I really love this page. The colors! 

In honor of the last Monday in February, I used reds + pinkys & orangys

& the texture isn't too shabby either ;)

What was used:

cut out "swirly" from scrapbook paper

white india ink

acrylic paints

alcohol ink

stamps & staz on

dazzling details in cherry cobbler

black gelato

black soot distress ink

faber castell big brush in deep scarlet red

prisma fineliner in black

sharpie marker in gold metallic

The music...

especially fond of the instrumentals in this one!

MMM: You and Me

Another Monday pretty much came and went. 

I wish I could/would post these earlier in the day, I will try harder. 

Today was a good day (in comparison to the weekend, which was bloody awful)

This evening, I took my daughter shopping...

She needs an outfit for a trip she's going on.

Her first trip to far away lands without the parentals ...(still in TX lol)

I wanted her to say she was going to die without us, but no such luck :(

She's pretty woohoo about it...& I guess I should be glad for that. 

Anyway, 4 different stores tonight, FOUR! & I'm zonked!

this page is a little whimsy & bright.

 it was fun!

there are several layers here because I couldn't see where I was going with it...

So I just kept adding. loved the process!

What was used:
paper scraps

mod podge & golden matte medium

all kinds of acrylic color: buttercup, turquoise glitter, coral blush, 

bluegrass green, true blue, lettuce, black & white

copic markers in black & cerise

white gelly roll & black prisma fineliner

black soot distress ink 

tim holtz chitchat stickers

pop dots

The music...

DMB is all kinds of fantastic.

I'm crazy about this song + the video ...makes me smile BIG.

The art...

So seeing the hearts, I think my head was on a Valentine cloud as I did this page.
I guess maybe thinking about stuff the kids need for their parties,
& all the decor & goodies on display at the grocery store etc.
Not so much my fave page, but that's ok. :)

acrylic paints.
white Sharpie poster-paint pen.
Faber-Castell Pitt big brush in cold grey
black 05 prismacolor fine line marker.

This is an old favorite.
This particular song used to be on repeat, a lot back in the day.
Brings back very good, chill memories.
