I celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25th.

I say Merry Christmas. 

I also say Happy Holidays. 

I sing Christmas Hymns.
I also sing funky Holiday songs.

I don't believe in Santa, neither do my kids...

We watch Rudolph, Frosty & the Grinch, Polar Express etc.

We put up a tree, we buy gifts, we eat cookies.

Most importantly, we thank God for sending His Son.

This is unusually fun for me because now I get to clean my junk drawer as I look through it :)

Every person in the house is allowed to have ONE junk drawer in their room.

And there's one community junk bowl on the kitchen counter. I clean it out once a weekish.

Hiya!

Let me just say, it's late. like 1am. 

I usually don't blog post on such a whim, but ...

First. December is here.

& in 4 quick weeks, it will be gone.

I'm not ready for 2013. 

I mean, I'm ready by way of Project Life, lol. (I'm soooo ready to use the Cobalt series.)

But I am absolutely NOT ready for another year to take effect.

In 2013:

My daugher (firstborn) turns 13.

I turn 38.

My son plays his last year of Jr. football (so he says)

I turn 38.

and ...

I frkn turn THIRTY-EIGHT.

I swear just last week I was 23!

Moving on....

Next up: DECEMBER DAILY and all it's fabulous-ness.

In her own words....

December Daily is an album project that documents the 25 days leading up to Christmas. 

I decided I wanted to do it. I saw some pics on Instagram and saw the hashtag...and 

I liked the idea.  

That was like 5 days ago.

I had no idea what it was about. No idea. 

Turns out it's a WHOLE DEAL. Like with a kit and everything.

Did I get the kit that probably would have made my life a little easier? NO.

LONG story short.

I decided to do December Daily anyway, despite the fact that I don't have the groovy kit.

But what I DO have is an unused smashbook (the K&CO kind)

So there ya go.

After some thought, my take on December Daily is going to be......art journalish. 

because with little prep time, it's just easier for me to do it AJ style.

So mine is going to be a December Daily: art journal edition.

----> Maybe next year I will be more prepared and do it properly.

So....I don't have a lot of Christmas-y stash of scrapbook crap. <- don't be offended, sometimes it's my term of endearment for "stuff"  :D

But I have washi-tape and cut up scrapbook 12x12's and acrylic paint, stickles, spray inks and a glue stick.

I am NOT going to stress out about this. (no more than I already have.)

I have bigger fish to fry....like my daughter turning 13 in 71 days and me turning 38 in 154 days.
